Water Filter Distribution
Pure Water For Africa is committed to providing clean drinking water to the under-served communities in Africa. Our program focuses on getting clean water to children first. We provide water filtration systems for schools, orphanages, and churches. The Sawyer PointOne water filter is a 0.1 micron absolute hollow fiber membrane which removes bacteria from the water. It has a 10+ year life when properly maintained.

The Sawyer water filter technology came from the kidney dialysis filtration process. Sawyer takes great pride in high quality materials, consistent construction and quality control on every filter manufactured. The only maintenance for the filters is a regular backwash to maintain water flow.

We have built a relationship with Kitoben Children’s Home in Bomet, Kenya. This orphanage was started by Samwel and Alice Langat who have 5 of their own children. They began to take in needy children from the surrounding area into their own home in 1989. She recalls that locals would drop off newborns and young children to her doorstep when they couldn’t afford to care for them. She knew then that God was calling her to care for children other than her own. They now run a home for more that 60 children and a school, grade baby to ,8 for more than 100 students. Many of the children have now graduated from secondary school. We visit them regularly and help finance projects needed to maintain healthy living conditions and projects to improve the school and receive governmental aid for the school.
